Britain bans imports of iron and steel from Russia and other sanctions from tomorrow

Liz Truss added that from tomorrow Britain banned the import of Russian iron and steel. In addition, she specified, a ban on the export to Russia of quantum technologies and modern materials, in which "Putin really needs.

 

Also today, the UK has put more than 200 individuals and entities from Russia on the sanctions lists.

Vagit Alikperov, co-owner of the oil and gas company Lukoil;

Vladimir Yakunin, former head of Russian Railways (RZhD);

Vladimir Yevtushenkov, the founder of AFK Sistema;

Vladimir Bogdanov, General Director of Surgutneftegaz;

Vice President of Gazprombank Sergey Fursenko;

Sergey Lavrov's wife.


In addition, the restraints included:

"Gazprombank;

 Otkritie Financial Group;

 Bank Rossiya;

 SOGAZ insurance company.

 

 The British sanctions list also includes about 178 representatives of the so-called Donetsk and Luhansk "people's republics.
