An MP from Energodar is suspected of collaborating with the occupiers

A local deputy is suspected of collaborationism for heading an illegal authority in the occupied Energodar, the Office of the Prosecutor General reported.

 

"According to the investigation, at the end of March 2022, during the temporary occupation of Energodar, the local deputy voluntarily agreed to take a position in the illegally created by the military administration of the Russian Federation authorities. About his appointment as "head of the public council of self-organization of the city of Energodar" the suspect informed the residents of the city in a video message through the network. At the present time the "official" actively ensures the performance of organizational and administrative and economic functions," - indicated in the prosecutor's office.

 

Under the procedural guidance of the Zaporizhzhya regional prosecutor's office the citizen was notified about the suspicion of collaborative activities (part 5 of article 111-1 of the Criminal code of Ukraine).

 

Earlier Energodar city mayor Dmitry Orlov reported that in Energodar the deputy of the party OPFL Andrey Shevchik created the so-called "people's council", which has nothing to do with the jurisdiction of Ukraine.
