The current head of the OSCE arrives in Ukraine

The current head of the OSCE, Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau, has arrived in Ukraine.

His arrival was announced on the page of the Polish Chairmanship.

"Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau, the current head of the OSCE, began his visit to Ukraine. Despite obstacles from Russia, Poland is determined to support the activities of the OSCE and its assistance to Ukraine," the report said.

During the visit, Zbigniew Rau will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Prime Minister Denys Shmygal and Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba in Kyiv.

" Rau will also visit "the outskirts of Kyiv," but it is not specified which cities this will be.

Recall that on July 1, the OSCE had to close the Office of the Project Coordinator in Ukraine because of the veto of the Russian Federation, which did not agree to extend its mandate.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba urged the OSCE to find a way to suspend Russia's mandate in connection with the unleashed war, noting that otherwise Russia would destroy the OSCE itself.

At the last session, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly supported a resolution calling for the development of a mechanism to withdraw the powers of the delegation of a state that has violated the sovereignty and territorial integrity of another.
