Ukraine and Poland signed a quadrilateral Memorandum on the project of construction of a cross-border pipeline through which Ukrainian vegetable oil will be transported to the port of Gdańsk.

 This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy on Tuesday.

 In the near future, Ukraine and Poland will create a working group, the purpose of which will be to develop technical characteristics and conditions for the construction of the pipeline and two terminals.

 "For the past six months, we have been actively working on increasing the volume of exports of domestic agricultural products through common checkpoints with the Republic of Poland. We are also working on reducing queues at the Ukrainian-Polish border," commented the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Solskyi.

 Before the war, Ukrainian oil was exported to 107 countries of the world, and its largest consumers are in Europe (37%), Southeast Asia (29%) and Asia (14.9%).

 The ministries of agriculture and infrastructure of Ukraine and Poland will be involved in the project.
