Ukraine and Poland "turned the page" with the Warsaw police incident and continue to cooperate - Monastyrskyi

The internal investigation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine regarding the incident with the explosion in the Polish police has not yet been completed, and a criminal investigation is also underway, but Ukraine and Poland have "turned the page" with this incident and continue to cooperate, said Minister of Internal Affairs Denys Monastyrskyi.

"The internal investigation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is still ongoing, there is a corresponding criminal proceeding," the minister told reporters on Monday, answering a question about whether the investigation into the incident has been completed and whether all the circumstances have been established.

Monastyrsky recalled that he was on a visit to Poland and discussed this issue with the Polish Minister of Internal Affairs.

"The main thing is that nothing can divide us and make us quarrel. This is the most important conclusion of our trip, because Poland is one of our biggest friends, helps with equipment and has accepted the largest number of our refugees... Therefore, we said that any such issues cannot prevent our cooperation," the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

He concluded: "So we have turned the page in our relationship and are moving on."

We will remind, on December 15, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Poland reported that a gift that a Polish police officer received during a visit to Ukraine exploded in the police headquarters in Warsaw, as a result of which the commander and a civil servant were injured. The Polish side asked the Ukrainian side for relevant clarifications.
