Ukraine received the first 3 billion from the macro-finance package from the EU for 18 billion euros

Ukraine received the first tranche of macro-financial aid from the EU in the amount of 3 billion euros - out of a total of 18 billion euros.

This was announced by the European Commission on January 17.

"Today, the commission paid out the first tranche of 3 billion euros from the package of macro-financial assistance for Ukraine in the amount of up to 18 billion euros," the statement said.

The announcement was expected, as this date was announced in advance by the President of the EC, Ursula von der Leyen. The memorandum of understanding between Ukraine and the EU was signed on January 16.

We will remind you that the decision on this aid package was made with many difficulties, in mid-December the EU leaders finally reached an agreement on it.
