Hungary cannot dictate the terms of the peace talks to Ukraine, since Budapest has chosen another side instead of helping.

 This was stated by the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Oleg Nikolenko on Facebook.

 The speaker reprimanded the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Peter Szijarto, for the fact that he visits the aggressor countries Russia and Belarus, but calls for peace negotiations.

 "Only in the dreams of some Hungarian politicians are negotiations regarding Ukraine possible without Ukraine itself," Nikolenko said.

 The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that Hungary is not in the position to decide when the peace talks with Ukraine should begin. Budapest had the opportunity to help, but took the pro-Russian side.

 "If Peter Sijarto really cares about ending the war as soon as possible, we have a piece of advice: before his next visit to Moscow or Minsk, stop by Bratislava. Slovakia perfectly understands the current threats in Europe. We are sure that our Slovak colleagues would be able to give some wise advice," - Nikolenko added.

 It will be recalled that yesterday the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry, Peter Szijjarto, said that US President Joe Biden and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin should "do humanity a favor" by holding negotiations. In his opinion, this could end the war in Ukraine.
