Peskov: no agreements on grain deal yet

Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary for Russian President Vladimir Putin, made several statements regarding the "grain deal," RosMedia reports.

According to Peskov, there are currently no substantive agreements between Russia, Turkey and Qatar to resume the grain deal. Earlier, the media reported that these countries were working on "a new trilateral agreement to replace the previous one."

Peskov also stated: "The prospect of resuming the grain deal directly depends on the substantive fulfillment of the promises made to the Russian side, not in words but in deeds."

The speaker confirmed plans for a meeting between Putin and Erdogan: "...it will take place soon, there are agreements on the announcement of dates, and we are adhering to them." It should be noted that, according to media reports, the meeting will discuss the grain deal.

The press secretary also stated: "The Russian Defense Ministry has been monitoring ships entering the Black Sea since the termination of the grain deal."
