Evacuation from the Gaza Strip: Eight more Ukrainian citizens are taken to Egypt

On November 24, eight Ukrainian citizens left Gaza for Egypt. In total, more than 200 Ukrainians have already been evacuated from the Palestinian enclave. This was stated by the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleh Nikolenko, Ukrinform reports.


"During this day, 8 citizens of Ukraine were evacuated from Gaza to Egypt, and 26 citizens were taken by charter flight from Egypt to Moldova. Our diplomats assisted them in moving to Ukraine," said Nikolenko.


According to him, Ukraine has managed to evacuate 259 people from Gaza within the first stage of the evacuation.


The speaker emphasized that Ukraine is grateful to Egypt, Israel, Qatar and other partners for their support in the evacuation.


He also added that the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to help Ukrainians in the Gaza Strip are under the special control of Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.
