The United States began using C-17 Globemaster military transport aircraft to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. Previously, only commercial airlines were used. This is reported by C-Span.

C-17 Globemaster military aircraft were used to transport an additional 24.5 tons of humanitarian aid collected with the participation of the United Nations, providing emergency medical supplies, warm clothing, food and nutrition to the residents of Gaza, a representative of the US Department of Defense said.

According to Ryder, additional flights are planned in the coming days, marking the transition from the use of commercial air transportation for humanitarian supplies.
