British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will visit Kyiv on January 12. This was reported on the British government's website.

The British say that Sunak will announce a new military aid package for Ukraine and increase support in 2024 to $3.19 billion. 

It is noted that the British Prime Minister will sign a "historic agreement" on security cooperation with President Volodymyr Zelensky. 

The agreement will formalize London's support, including intelligence sharing, cybersecurity, medical and military training, and defense-industrial cooperation.

The document would also oblige Britain to consult with Ukraine if it is ever attacked again by Russia and provide "rapid and permanent" defense assistance.

Of the $3.19 billion, at least $200 million will be spent on the purchase and production of reconnaissance, attack, and maritime drones. 

"This will be the largest delivery of drones to Ukraine from any country. It is expected that most of them will be produced in Britain, and the Ministry of Defense will work with international partners to significantly increase the number of drones to be supplied for Ukraine's defense," the statement said.
