Belarus will consider an attack on allies as a threat to its own security

According to the new military doctrine, Belarus will consider an attack on its allies as an aggression against itself. This was stated by Artem Butorin, Head of the Information and Analytical Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus.

"A separate section will appear in our military doctrine, which will bring together all the provisions that are currently enshrined in international treaties that we have ratified with our allies, including within the framework of international organizations," he said.

According to Butorin, Minsk will set out in its military doctrine how it views its alliance with strategic partners. In addition, it will set out the foundations of Belarus' attitude to peacekeeping activities under the auspices of international security organizations such as the UN and CSTO.
