Russians shelled the center of Kherson: there are dead (UPDATED)

On Monday, February 5, Russian troops shelled the center of Kherson from the left bank of the Kherson region. There are casualties, the head of the Kherson City Military Administration Roman Mrochko reported on Telegram.


"As a result of enemy shells hitting the city center, a fire broke out. Upon arrival at the scene, rescuers found two bodies. The information is being clarified," Mrochko emphasized.


Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of Kherson RMA, said that Russians fired at a car in the city center. After extinguishing the fire, rescuers found the bodies of two dead men inside the car. A 24-year-old man was injured in the Russian attack. He was taken to the hospital with an explosive injury.


Later, Prokudin noted that a 66-year-old woman sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of an artillery strike on Kherson.

The number of people killed as a result of artillery shelling of Kherson has increased to four, reports Ukraine's Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko.


"Rescuers are extinguishing a car that came under artillery fire in Kherson around noon. Unfortunately, they failed to save the driver and passenger. In total, the Russian shelling took the lives of four local residents. Another person was injured," said Klymenko.
