President of Argentina Javier Milei said that he plans to hold a "Latin American support summit" for Ukraine at the end of this year. This was reported by the Financial Times.
The publication notes that this step by Milei sets him apart from other regional leaders, such as Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who have chosen a more neutral position in relation to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
At the same time, Milei announced his intention to strengthen ties with "countries that stand for freedom," including the United States and Israel, which he visited earlier this month, as well as Ukraine, to which he presented two Russian-made military helicopters.
