Ukrenergo reports that on April 5, starting at 7:00 a.m., it was forced to introduce emergency outages in Kharkiv and the region.


"The reason is a technological accident in the power company's networks. Emergency repair works are underway," the statement said.


In total, as of the morning of April 5, about 550,000 consumers in the region were cut off from electricity, and electric transport was partially suspended.


In addition, consumption limits for industrial consumers in the Kryvyi Rih district of Dnipropetrovsk region are still in effect.


According to Ukrenergo, at night, Russians attacked energy infrastructure facilities in Odesa region again, damaging some equipment. There were no power outages.


In total, as of the morning of April 5, 408 settlements in Ukraine are without power. Due to hostilities, there are power outages in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv and Kherson regions. Due to technical damage - in Dnipropetrovsk and Sumy regions.


It is noted that in the southern region, Ukrenergo repair crews have restored a 330 kV overhead line damaged during the shelling.


One power unit at the nuclear power plant was also taken out of service for scheduled maintenance yesterday.


On April 5, electricity is imported mainly in the morning and evening hours from Romania, Slovakia, Hungary and Moldova in the total amount of 6776 MWh, with a maximum capacity of up to 1362 MW in some hours. No exports are planned for Friday.
