Kharkiv region continues to be strengthened with fortifications. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensyy got acquainted with their construction. This was reported by the press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

 

The department said that during a trip to Kharkiv region, the president visited the border with Russia, where defensive structures and fortifications are being built.

 

"Kharkiv region is a very important area. We have to be prepared. And the Russians must see that we are ready to defend themselves. And our people should understand that Ukraine is prepared if the enemy tries to attack," the Head of State emphasized.

 

The head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleh Synegubov, said that the fortifications consist of a system of trenches, dugouts and other types of shelters.

 

Concrete pyramids, "dragon's teeth" and anti-tank ditches are also being installed in the region.

 

The project of construction of fortifications was developed by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. In particular, the experience of soldiers on the first line of defense was taken into account.
