Due to the cold weather, the energy system of Ukraine remains in deficit. The country will receive emergency assistance from its neighbors throughout the day. This was reported by Ukrenergo.

"Today at 9:30 a.m., the consumption level was 4.7% higher than at the same time on Friday. And yesterday's evening maximum was almost 6% higher than the maximum of the previous Sunday, April 14," the statement said.

It is expected that the maximum consumption will be recorded at 21:00, and therefore Ukrainians are advised to turn off powerful electrical appliances during this period.

It is reported that Ukraine is forced to attract emergency assistance from the power systems of European countries throughout the day. 

Consumption restrictions are in place in Kharkiv region and for industrial consumers in Kryvyi Rih.

In addition, more than 60 settlements in Zaporizhzhia, Kirovohrad, Poltava, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions are without power due to the weather. For other reasons, 414 settlements are without power. Due to the hostilities, there are power outages in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions.
