The Verkhovna Rada has simplified the granting of Ukrainian citizenship to foreigners and stateless persons who have taken part in protecting the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine.  About it, referring to the broadcast of the meeting of the Parliament.

For the draft law № 5630 in the second reading was voted by 285 people's deputies.

They introduce amendments to the law "On Citizenship of Ukraine" on the simplified acquisition of Ukrainian citizenship by foreigners and stateless persons who have participated in the protection of the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine.

This bill is aimed at the implementation of the presidential decree of August 13, 2019 "Issues of simplified acquisition of Ukrainian citizenship by foreigners and stateless persons who participated or took part in activities to ensure the national security and defense of Ukraine, and citizens of the Russian Federation, who were persecuted through political beliefs" (№ 594/2019).

It was implement in the first reading on November 2 this year.
