The Russian army killed 374 children in Ukraine - Prosecutor General's Office

As a result of the full-scale invasion, the Russian military killed at least 374 children in Ukraine. The Prosecutor General's Office reported this in Telegram.

 

 "As of the morning of August 23, 2022, more than 1,097 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. According to the official information of juvenile prosecutors, 374 children died and more than 723 were injured of varying degrees of severity," the message reads.

 

 A 15-year-old girl died in a medical institution in Lviv, who was seriously injured on August 4 as a result of enemy shelling in Toretsk.

 

 The most affected children were in Donetsk oblast - 388, Kharkiv oblast - 202, Kyiv oblast - 116, Chernihgiv oblast - 68, Mykolayiv oblast - 65, Lugansk oblast - 61, Kherson oblast - 55, Zaporizhzhya oblast - 41.

 

 As noted, these numbers are not final, because work is ongoing to establish the injured and dead in the places of active hostilities, as well as in temporarily captured and liberated territories.

 

 Russian troops damaged 2,328 educational institutions in Ukraine by bombing and shelling, of which 289 were completely destroyed.
