Russian troops killed 383 children in Ukraine - Prosecutor General's Office

Since the beginning of the large-scale invasion, Russian forces have killed at least 383 children in Ukraine. The Prosecutor General's Office reports this in Telegram.

 

 "As of the morning of September 7, 2022, more than 1,125 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. According to the official information of juvenile prosecutors, 383 children died and more than 742 were injured of various degrees of severity," the message reads.

 

 Yesterday, September 6, a child died as a result of enemy shelling in the Bashtan district of the Mykolaiv region. Also, a 17-year-old teenager was wounded in the village of Pechenighy, Chuguyiv district, Kharkiv region.

 

 The most affected children were in Donetsk oblast – 389, Kharkiv oblast – 205, Kyiv oblast – 116, Mykolayiv oblast – 72, Chernihiv oblast – 68, Luhansk oblast – 61, Kherson oblast – 55, Zaporizhzhya oblast – 46, Dnipropetrovsk oblast – 26.

 

 As noted, these figures are not final, because work is ongoing to identify the injured and dead in active hostilities, as well as in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

 

 The armed forces of the Russian Federation damaged 2,472 educational institutions with bombings and shelling. Of them, 289 were completely destroyed.
