Canada and its partners will continue sanctions against the Russian Federation, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said.

 "Canada, together with its partners, will continue sanctions against 1,750 individuals and organizations in Russia and Belarus. We will announce new sanctions against another 62 individuals, as well as one defense sector company that is participating in Russia's war against Ukraine," Trudeau said at the Second Summit of the Crimean Platform .

 According to the lists published on the website of the Canadian government, Oleg Svyridenko, Russia's Deputy Minister of Justice, and Maria Lvov-Belova, the Russian President's representative for children's rights, were sanctioned.

 Sanctions were also imposed against the governor of the Tyumen region Oleksandr Moore, the governor of the Bryansk region Oleksandr Bogomaz, the governor of the Kursk region Roman Starovoyt, and others.

 Jan Novikov, general director of Almaz-Antey VKO Concern JSC, and Volodymyr Artyakov, first deputy general director of Rostec, were included in the sanctions list.

 In addition, measures were applied to the Avtomatika concern.

 Since February, according to Canadian authorities, Ottawa has imposed sanctions on more than 1,750 individuals and legal entities from Russia, Belarus and Ukraine.
