The Verkhovna Rada approved the draft state budget of Ukraine for 2023 in the first reading. This was announced by Yaroslav Zheleznyak, deputy from the "Holos" party.

 Yes, 251 people's deputies who voted to support the project.

 Zaliznyak wrote that it took almost three hours to discuss the 1270 amendments.

 So, according to him, there are only two "balance corrections" left, which are directly written in the Committee's conclusion:

 allocation of 2 billion hryvnias for the State Fund for Regional Development and 446 million hryvnias for social protection;

 allocation of 1.3 billion hryvnias for measures in the field of information space protection and 100 million hryvnias for the production of television programs.

 Consideration of the draft state budget in the second reading is planned already in October.

 It will be recalled that earlier the Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft budget for 2023, from which 50% of all funds are planned to be allocated to security and defense.

 It should be noted that the resident of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy described some important items in the state budget:

 Over 1 trillion hryvnias will be allocated to the security and defense sector.

 The government should ensure indexation of pensions for all pensioners.

 The Cabinet of Ministers should submit a program to reduce costs for state-owned enterprises, apparatus, and institutions that do not meet the needs of wartime.

 The 5/7/9 lending program is preserved, and other programs and solutions that should help the business work will also operate.

 Creation of a special recovery fund, which will be filled, in particular, at the expense of confiscated Russian assets.

 In addition, the CMU in the draft state budget predicts the technical exchange rate at the level of 42.2 hryvnias per dollar.
