The Council retained the deputy mandates of Medvedchuk, Kozak, Kuzmin and Derkach

The Verkhovna Rada voted to strip Viktor Medvedchuk, Taras Kozak, Andriy Derkach, and Renat Kuzmin of the mandates of the People's Deputies from the OPZJ. Yevgenia Kravchuk, deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada committee on humanitarian and information policy, announced this on Facebook.

"Yes, it finally happened: Medvedchuk, Kozak, Derkach and Kuzmin are no longer people's deputies. And this happened in a constitutional way thanks to Volodymyr Zelenskyi's decree on stripping them of their Ukrainian citizenship," she said.

Kravchuk also reported that People's Deputy Andrii Aksyonov wrote a statement on the compilation of powers.

At the same time, people's deputy from the "Golos" party, Yaroslav Zheleznyak, stated in Telegram that 320 deputies supported the removal of Medvedchuk's mandate, Kozak - 317, Derkach - 314, and Kuzmin - 319. According to him, the discussion was accompanied by a scandal and a discussion that lasted 40 minutes.

"...There was a discussion about when to put on the agenda the issue of depriving the mandates of five deputies. The Coalition's proposal was to consider at the end of the agenda (because they did not have enough votes for anything). The proposal of other factions and groups is to start the day by stripping the mandates of these deputies," the deputy said.

He also noted that three votes were held on these issues and parliamentarians blocked the rostrum.
