"Ukrzaliznytsia" completely restored the bridge over the Irpin river

The company "Ukrzaliznytsia" reported that it has completely completed the overhaul of the railway bridge over the Irpin River in the Kyiv region. Two-track trains are allowed there.

Telegram channel "Ukrzaliznytsia" writes about this.

As the agency said, the restoration of the bridge will allow to increase the number of passenger trains in the direction of Korosten and cities neighboring Kyiv in the near future.

"Railwaymen dismantled all the damaged elements of the bridge and actually built a new crossing over the river on their site," the report said.

We will remind that the railway bridge over the Irpin River was destroyed on March 21, 2022. In July 2022, capital restoration of the bridge began. In November, it was possible to resume the movement of trains on an odd track.

"After the enemy was defeated and expelled from the Kyiv region, we had to help restore normal life to the region as soon as possible and restore railway connections to the de-occupied settlements. Initially, within a month, the cities across the Irpin River were restored according to a temporary scheme. This allowed already at the beginning of May last year, to launch trains to Irpen, Buch, Borodyanka and other settlements", - said Roman Chernitskyi, a member of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia.
