On the night of December 1, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 18 of 25 Russian drones. An X-59 missile was also shot down. This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is noted that another similar missile was not shot down.
The drone strikes were carried out from Cape Chauda in the occupied Crimea and from Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the Russian Federation. The missiles were launched from the airspace over the territory of Kherson region temporarily occupied by Russia.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine added that air defense systems were operating in Mykolaiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro regions. Anti-aircraft units and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces were deployed to repel the attack.
