Cabinet of Ministers lifts restrictions on the number of employees of the military-industrial complex reserved from conscription

The Ukrainian government has decided to change the order of reservation of conscripted employees of the defense-industrial complex. Restrictions on this issue have been lifted. This is stated in a statement by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

According to the ministry, today, January 16, during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, amendments were made to Resolution No. 76 of January 27, 2023.

The amendments stipulate that conscripted employees of enterprises, institutions and organizations, which the Ministry of Strategic Industry has identified as critical in the defense industry, are booked:

  • regardless of military rank, age and military specialty;
  • without restrictions on the number of conscripts to be booked.

"Now the enterprises of the defense-industrial complex will be able to book their conscripted employees without any restrictions on the number and without taking into account the level of shortage of their military specialty," explained Deputy Minister of Economy Ihor Fomenko.

According to him, this will help strengthen the potential of the defense-industrial complex and ensure that enterprises can operate stably and increase production volumes.
