Intelligence denies that Arestovych left Ukraine with the permission of the GUR

Former advisor to the Presidential Office Oleksiy Arestovych left Ukraine on the basis of a letter from the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, NLG.media reports. The GUR denies this information.

Thus, the publication, citing sources, claims that Arestovych crossed the border with Poland on September 4, 2023, through the Krakowiec-Korchova checkpoint. He has not returned to Ukraine since then.

The GUR stated that this information is not true.

"We can inform you that the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense did not provide any documents, certificates, official or unofficial requests for the above-mentioned person to travel abroad on September 4, 2023. This information is false. And its publication right now has signs of a targeted information campaign by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine and its leadership," said Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Ukrainian intelligence, in a commentary to RBC-Ukraine.
