Draft law on mobilization is adopted by the Verkhovna Rada: no demobilization in it

At the plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, MPs supported the draft law on mobilization in the second reading. This was reported by MP from the Voice faction Yaroslav Zheleznyak.


"In the editorial office of the Committee. All 31 amendments taken into account received votes for confirmation. No intrigue except for the amendment on demobilization (there are 227)," the MP writes.

 

The votes were distributed as follows: "Servant of the People" - 192; ES - 0; "Batkivshchyna" - 2; Platform "For Life and Peace" - 18; "Voice" - 16; "Restoration" - 16; "For the Future" - 12; "Trust" - 15; Non-factional - 12.

According to the MP, the parliament supported an amendment to the draft law on strengthening mobilization to remove the provision on demobilization of military personnel. The provision on demobilization was completely removed from the draft law. According to the parliamentarians, the amendment was supported by 227 MPs.

 

Here are the main provisions of the draft law on mobilization:

  • Restriction of consular services for men aged 18 to 60 without military registration documents;
  • Those with limited fitness must undergo a second military medical commission (MMC);
  • Those who received a disability group II - III after February 24, 2022 (except for military personnel) must undergo a second medical examination;
  • Within 60 days, you will need to update your personal data in the TCC. This can be done remotely by e-mail, phone or through the e-cabinet;
  • Restrictions on the right to drive for evaders;
  • An authorized representative of the TCC or a police officer will take photos and videos during the document check;
  • It is necessary to have a military registration document with you and show it at the request of a representative of the TCC, a police officer or the State Border Guard Service.

 

Once signed by the President, the law will come into force in a month.
