German Defense Minister: Russia has moved to stockpiling weapons and ammunition

Russia is producing more weapons and ammunition than it needs to wage war in Ukraine and has moved to stockpiling. This was stated by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.

According to Pistorius, he has noticed that with the increase in arms spending and the streamlining of the military economy in Russia, "a significant part or part of what is produced no longer goes to the front, but ends up in warehouses."

The German minister believes that this may stimulate further military ambitions of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"Now you can be naive and say that he is doing this only out of caution. As a skeptical person, I would rather say that in this case he is doing it because he is planning something or may have something in mind," Pistorius added.
