The Security Service of Ukraine reported on a search of the Zaporizhian UOC Metropolitan Luka (Andrii Kovalenko). This was reported earlier by the media.
The clergyman was served with a suspicion of “inciting religious hatred”.
According to the investigation, “the Metropolitan publicly expressed his disdain for parishioners of other faiths during his communication with parishioners and during church liturgies.”
According to the SBU, the Metropolitan “posted provocative messages on his personal telegram channel, where he insulted the religious feelings of representatives of other faiths.”
The issue of choosing a preventive measure is being decided.
In addition, the SBU reminded that in December 2022, by a decision of the National Security and Defense Council, sanctions were imposed against Luka.
