Two hydroelectric power plants were taken out of operation as a result of shelling - Ukrhydroenergo

As a result of the morning massive shelling of Ukraine on May 8, two hydroelectric power plants were “significantly damaged” and were taken out of operation. This was reported by Ukrhydroenergo.

“As of today, all hydroelectric power generation has suffered devastating damage. The destroyed equipment requires considerable efforts for repair, restoration and significant financial costs,” the statement said.

It does not specify which hydroelectric power plants were damaged.

It is worth noting that yesterday the Kremenchuk District Administration reported an emergency water discharge at the Kremenchuk HPP. Apparently, this hydroelectric power plant was hit on May 8.
