The Ukrainian Armed Forces spoke about the situation in the city of Vovchansk. Nazar Voloshyn, a spokesman for the Khortytsia operational and strategic grouping of troops, said during a telethon that the Defense Forces are combing the city, preventing the Russians from gaining a foothold.

“In the northern part of Vovchansk and in the city itself, the Defense Forces are combing the city's buildings. They are trying to stabilize the situation, inflict fire damage on the enemy and prevent the Russian occupiers from gaining a foothold. Counterattack actions are being carried out, the enemy is under constant fire control of artillery, UAV units, and all the Defense Forces,” the speaker said.

According to him, in general, the operational situation in the Kharkiv direction remains difficult and is changing dynamically.

“The Defense Forces managed to partially stabilize the situation. We destroy the occupants who have entered the Kharkiv region by all means. The enemy's advance in certain areas and in certain settlements has been stopped. However, the enemy is still trying to provide favorable conditions for further advancement in order to take more favorable positions on the ground,” Voloshyn said.
