An 18-year-old Kharkiv resident helped Russia prepare a new offensive in the Kharkiv region. This was reported by the SBU on Telegram.
“The Security Service conducted a special operation in Kharkiv, which resulted in the detention of another FSB agent. The perpetrator was collecting information about the AFU units involved in the defense of the city,” the statement said.
The SBU claims that the suspect walked around Kharkiv on foot and tried to find the locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. When he found the locations, he secretly photographed them and marked the coordinates on Google maps to prepare a “report” to the FSB.
He was reportedly detained “red-handed” when he was photographing a military object.
“The enemy accomplice turned out to be an 18-year-old Kharkiv resident who was remotely recruited by an FSB officer in Belgorod region. His identity has already been established by the Security Service,” the SBU said.
The man was served a notice of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code (high treason committed under martial law) and faces life imprisonment.
