Another group of Crimean Tatars sentenced in Russia: 56 years for four

The Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don, Russian Federation, sentenced four more Crimean Tatars. They were accused of alleged terrorism.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing Telegram ombudsman Lyudmila Denisova.

According to her, the sentences were handed down against the participants of the so-called "third Bakhchisarai group".

"Our fellow citizens received long sentences in a strict regime colony: Seytumer Seytumerov - 17 years, Osman Seytumerov - 14 years, Rustem Seytememetov - 13 years, Amet Suleymanov - 12 years," Denisova noted.

He also stressed that the entire prosecution was reduced to the testimony of two secret witnesses of the FSB. One of the convicts - Amet Suleymanov - has a disability and needs regular medical care because he has serious heart problems.

"I condemn the illegal sentence against citizens of Ukraine. By carrying out trials against Crimean Tatars and other illegally detained Ukrainians, the occupant country of the Russian Federation violates the norms of international law, the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights," Denisova added.

We shall remind you that earlier in Crimea they detained a group of support for the suspects in the "Hizb ut-Tahrir case" who came to the court sessions.
