Ukraine has already recorded 4.63 million cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19, an increase of more than 33,000 per day, February 16, up from a day earlier.

At the same time, the number of those, who have recovered from the disease, is nearly 28 thousand for the second day in a row. This is reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

"For a day on February 16 in Ukraine recorded 33,330 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19," - said in the message.

Of those who fell ill in the past 24 hours: children - 2,837, health workers - 961.

Also in the past 24 hours:

- hospitalized - 3,284 people;

- 259 fatalities;

- 27,441 people recovered.

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

- fell ill - 4,637,260 people;

- 3,866,755 people recovered;

- fatal cases - 103 824;

- 19,235,891 PCR tests were conducted.

According to Worldometer, a resource that tracks the situation with coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 18th in prevalence and 16th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.

Also, according to the Ministry of Health, 66,082 people in Ukraine were vaccinated against COVID-19 during the day on February 16. The first dose was given to 18,504 people, the second dose to 28,948 people, an additional dose to 606 people and a booster dose to 18,024 people.

From the beginning of vaccination campaign 15 631 687 persons have received the first dose, 15 043 831 persons have received two doses, 25 353 persons have received an additional dose, and 617 082 persons have received a booster dose. A total of 31,317,953 vaccinations were administered.
