Britain imposed sanctions against Russian airlines

Britain increases economic pressure on Russia because of the war in Ukraine. Today Britain announced new economic sanctions against the Russian aviation sector.

This was announced by the British government.

The list includes the state-owned Aeroflot, as well as Ural Airlines and Russia.

Now Russian air carriers will not be able to sell their unused seats at British airports. This will prevent Russia from earning about 50 million pounds sterling.

"As long as Putin continues his barbaric attack on Ukraine, we will continue to attack the Russian economy. We have already closed our airspace to Russian airlines. Today, we will make sure that they cannot cash in their lucrative landing spots at our airports. Every economic sanction reinforces our clear message to Putin: We will not stop until Ukraine wins," said Foreign Minister Liz Truss.
