Instagram launches new feature to help find missing children

Instagram is launching AMBER Alerts. It will help search for missing children.

About this writes the press service Meta.

The new feature launched as early as June 1 and will soon be available in 25 countries.

"We know that the chances of finding a missing child increase when more people come looking, especially in the first few hours. With this update, if law enforcement activates the AMBER Alert and you are in the specified search area, the alert will now appear in your Instagram feed," the company writes.

You can post important information about a missing child in the alert:

photo;

a description;

location of the abduction;

and more.

The information will be displayed to all users who are near the area where the child is missing.

In a few weeks the function will also work in Ukraine.
