Russia says transit of Russian oil through Ukraine stopped

The Russian company Transneft has said that the transit of Russian oil through the territory of Ukraine has been stopped. This was reported on Transneft's website.

"On August 4, Russian oil supplies in transit through the territory of Ukraine were stopped," the statement reads.

Transneft noted that the transit was stopped because Russia could not pay for it due to EU sanctions. At the same time, transit is said to continue via Belarus in the direction of Poland and Germany.
