In Ukraine, during the week from September 12 to 18, the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 increased by almost 54%, compared to the figure a week earlier - up to 36,683. This is evidenced by the data of the Ministry of Health.
According to the Ministry of Health, for the period from 12.09 to 18.09 in Ukraine:
36,683 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded (of which 5,628 were children, 869 were medical workers);
6,273 people were hospitalized;
fatalities – 90;
recovered - 17,430 people.
At the same time, 62,617 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 last week. During the reporting week, 32.3% of all vaccinations were first doses, 7.9% were second doses, 57.1% were first booster doses, and 2.6% were second booster doses.
Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 16,085,581 people have been vaccinated, of which 15,306,559 people received two doses, 2,090,796 people received the first booster dose, and 20,214 people received the second booster dose.
"It is important that about 780,000 people did not receive the second dose, and about 13.2 million received the first booster dose. That is why we remind you of the need to protect yourself against the traditional increase in the number of cases of the disease," the Ministry of Health said.
