Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a telephone conversation with Russian President Putin. According to a statement from the Turkish president's communications department, the parties discussed regional issues, including the development of Turkish-Russian relations and the "grain corridor" issue, Anadolu reports.

 During the conversation, Erdogan thanked Putin for his "constructive position regarding the 120-day extension of the Istanbul Grain Export Agreement."

 "Declaring that the continuation of the Russian-Ukrainian war will increase the risks and therefore it is necessary to resume diplomatic negotiations, Erdogan said that contacts between the heads of Russian and American intelligence in Turkey play a key role in preventing an uncontrolled escalation on the ground," the report said.

 As noted, regarding Putin's proposal to create a gas hub in Turkey, Erdogan noted that the teams will conduct the necessary technical, legal and commercial assessments to achieve common goals as soon as possible.

 Erdogan is going to talk to Zelenskіy again.
