Ukraine will introduce sanctions against Iran - the Cabinet of Ministers submitted a proposal to the National Security Council

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine sent proposals for the application of sectoral sanctions against Iran to the NSDC for consideration.

 

 The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine writes about this.

 

 According to the government, previous restrictions on individuals and companies directly involved in the supply of weapons to Russia were not perceived by Iran as a serious warning. In this regard, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to strengthen sanctions.

 

 "We are launching sectoral sanctions against Iran. Previous restrictions imposed by Ukraine and our partners on individuals and companies directly involved in the supply of arms to Russia were unfortunately not taken as a serious warning. Well, we will strengthen our arguments. We will also work on so that as many countries of the world as possible join such tough decisions. Aggression against Ukraine will not go unpunished. In the same way, helping the aggressor will not go unpunished, - said Economy Minister Yuliya Svyridenko.

 

 According to the proposals of the Cabinet of Ministers, sanctions will be introduced for a period of 50 years and will include:

 

 prevention of withdrawal of capital by residents of Iran outside of Ukraine;

 

 a ban on the transfer of technologies, rights to objects of intellectual property rights to residents of Iran;

 

 a ban on investments in Iran and in favor of residents of the country;

 

 suspension of service of electronic means of payment (in particular, transfers, settlement and cash withdrawal) issued by residents of Iran;

 

 prohibition of registration by the National Bank of Ukraine of an international payment system that participates in the transfer of funds;

 

 prohibition of registration of international payment systems by residents of Iran.

 

 We will remind that on Wednesday, April 19, the United States of America introduced new sanctions against companies that helped supply Iran with electronicso for drones.

 

 On Monday, March 27, Canada introduced the tenth package of sanctions against Iran. Manufacturers of drones and ballistic missiles fell under the restrictions.

 

 Iran's parliament has approved proposals to change the law to increase punishment for those who commit violence against women.
