77% of Russians surveyed said they support the invasion of Ukraine. This is the data provided by the opposition Levada Center, which is included in the list of "foreign agent" in Russia.


In January, 42% of Russians surveyed said they definitely support "the actions of the Russian armed forces in Ukraine," another 35% – rather yes, 9% – rather no, 7% – definitely no, and 8% could not answer.


At the same time, the majority supports the start of peace negotiations: 31% - rather for negotiations, 21% - definitely for negotiations, 24% - for continuation of the war, 16% - rather for war.


At the same time, 62% of Russians do not believe that they are responsible for the deaths of civilians in Ukraine. 21% believe that they are "to some extent" responsible, 10% believe that they are definitely responsible.


A relative majority (45%) believe that the war will last for more than a year. 77% are confident that it will end in a Russian victory. However, 66% believe that Russia is paying "too high price" for this war. 64% disagree that it was a mistake to invade Ukraine.
