Battle for Vovchansk: Russian troops advance

Ukraine's Ministry of Defense confirms that Russian infantry groups have already reached Vovchansk, where they are trying to stay in the northern part of the city, and active fighting is taking place.

Spokesman Dmytro Lazutkin said that the Ukrainian army has stepped up measures to deter the Russians, including the use of FPV drones and artillery.

“Reserves have been pulled up. Indeed, very effective combat-ready units are now near Vovchansk and are holding this direction. But yes, some infantry groups did enter the city,” added Lazutkin.

Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi also reported on the situation to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, emphasizing the need to destroy the Russians who are actively fighting on the approaches to the city and in the city of Vovchansk.
