Ukraine has already registered 2.72 million cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19, increasing by more than 23.7 thousand a day, October 21, which is a new anti-record for the second day in a row. Of those who became ill in 24 hours: 1,800 children and 391 health workers.
At the same time 5.1 thousand people were hospitalized during the day. There have been a record 614 fatalities in a day. This is reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
«During the day on October 21 in Ukraine recorded 23,785 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19,» - reported in the Ministry of Health.
Also in the past 24 hours:
- Hospitalized – 5141 people;
- Fatal cases – 614;
- Recovered – 8530 people.
During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:
- Fallen ill – 2,725,385 people;
- 2 361 365 people recovered;
- 63 003 deaths;
- PCR tests were conducted – 13,854,545.
Over the past 24 hours, the highest number of confirmed cases was registered in Lviv (1647), Dnipropetrovsk (1641), Odessa (1484), Zaporizhzhia (1391) regions and the city of Kiev (1323).
«During the day on October 21, 269,666 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 in Ukraine. A single dose was given to 184,107 people, while 85,559 people were fully immunized,» the Ministry of Health also reported.
