The Cabinet of Ministers appointed five deputy heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine

At the February 14 meeting, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine appointed five deputy heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

Taras Melnychuk, the representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada, reported this on Telegram.

"Appointed... Bohdan Yevgenovich Drapyaty as Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs; Kateryna Volodymyrivna Pavlichenko as Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs; Sergeev Oleksiy Oleksiyovych as Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs; Vasyl Mykhailovych Teterya as Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs; Leonid Leonidovich Tymchenko as Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs; Yashchuk Inna Petrivna as State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs," wrote Melnychuk.

At a meeting on February 10, the Cabinet of Ministers dismissed five deputy heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine - Drapyaty, Pavlichenko, Mary Hakopyan, Ihor Bondarenko, and Serhiy Goncharov. They all resigned.

"This is a normal procedure, it is prescribed in the law "On Central Bodies of Executive Power", Article 9. It states that when a minister resigns, the first deputy and all deputy ministers resign. Unfortunately, the Ministry of Internal Affairs lost its leadership in the tragic circumstances, however, the law provides that the deputies should follow exactly this procedure", - stressed the press secretary of the Minister of Internal Affairs Maryana Reva.

We will remind, on January 18, the head of the National Police, Ihor Klymenko, was appointed acting head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in place of Denys Monastyrskyi, who died during a helicopter accident in Brovary, Kyiv region.

On February 6, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal submitted to the Council a draft resolution on the appointment of Klymenko as a minister. On February 7, the Council approved Klymenko's position.

On the same day, Klymenko announced personnel decisions at the Ministry of Internal Affairs "exclusively in the interests of the efficiency of the ministry."
