Rada Committee on National Security proposes amendments to draft law on mobilization: details

MP Oleksiy Honcharenko reported on several amendments to the draft law on mobilization proposed by the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence. He wrote about this in his Telegram.

According to the MP, the list of proposals is as follows:

  • granting a deferral from mobilization to those obtaining education, provided that they have received it consistently, regardless of their specialty (profession);
  • granting a deferral to persons enrolled in internships;
  • granting a deferral for scientists and teachers, provided that they work at their main place of work at least 0.75 time (and not full-time, as was the case in the government's version of the draft law);
  • to exclude summonses via e-mail;
  • to introduce a ground for dismissal from military service of servicemen whose relatives were killed while participating in the ATO;
  • to reduce the terms of discharge of conscripts.

Earlier, Honcharenko reported that the Defense Ministry agreed to an amendment to preserve the postponement of conscription for all people with disabilities, including the third group.
