King Charles III of Great Britain is diagnosed with cancer

The 75-year-old King Charles III of Great Britain has been diagnosed with cancer. This was reported by the press service of Buckingham Palace.

The British king was reportedly diagnosed with cancer after additional examinations, which were ordered for a "separate issue" during a recent surgery for a benign prostate enlargement.

"His Majesty has today begun a regular course of treatment, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public duties. During this period, His Majesty will continue to attend to state business and official work as usual," Buckingham Palace said.

They did not disclose the details of the diagnosis, but emphasized that Charles III is positive about the treatment "and looks forward to returning to full public duties as soon as possible."

"His Majesty has decided to share his diagnosis to prevent speculation and in the hope that it will help the public to understand all those affected by cancer around the world," Buckingham Palace added.
