British King meets with Korean War veterans at Buckingham Palace after rumors of his "death"

Britain's King Charles III met with Korean War veterans at Buckingham Palace to mark 70 years since the signing of the armistice. This is stated in the message of the Royal Family on the social network X.

Four British veterans were greeted by the King during a palace reception to mark the anniversary.

Later, the Princess and Duchess of Edinburgh will host a reception at the palace on behalf of His Majesty to mark the anniversary of the "forgotten war."

About 200 Korean War veterans are invited to the reception, The Independent reports.

The Korean War ended with the signing of an armistice on July 27, 1953, after the UN called for support for South Korea after the invasion of its northern neighbor. It is also worth noting that the 75-year-old Charles continues to fulfill his duties as head of state, despite being treated for an unnamed form of cancer.
