Ukrainian carriers started a retaliatory action on the border with Poland: the Yagodyn-Dorohusk checkpoint is partially blocked

Ukrainian carriers started a protest in response to a strike by Polish farmers who have blockaded the border with Ukraine. The protesters partially blocked the Ukrainian border for Polish trucks at around 11:00 a.m. on February 15.

The protest is taking place at the largest checkpoint, Yagodyn-Dorohusk. According to Suspilne Lutsk, 15 Ukrainian trucks and about 20 cars joined the action.

Police are on duty at the site of the Ukrainian protest. The cars participating in the protest have posters in Ukrainian and English: "Stop the blockade on the border", "Free movement is a common victory", etc.

The protesters plan to stop Polish truck drivers who bypass the general queue at the Dorohusk checkpoint from the Polish side.

"They (Polish carriers) will stay here with us in their trucks until our Ukrainian carriers start to move. After all, they let one car through in an hour, and it's not a Ukrainian but a Polish driver," said Vitaliy Kotsenko, head of the NGO "Carriers of the Western Region".

The duration of the Ukrainian protest is likely to depend on the situation on the Polish side. However, the strikers are already talking about their readiness to stay at the border crossing at least until March 10.

Similarly, publics report that Ukrainian drivers who are stuck in Poland due to the blockade of the Polish-Ukrainian customs office have staged a protest in the Polish city of Przemyśl. Drivers on one of the city's roads are walking in a circle on a pedestrian crossing, thus blocking traffic.
