Poll: Americans trust Zelenskyy more than Biden

72 percent of US citizens trust Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy when it comes to international politics, while the trust in US President Joe Biden among Americans reaches 48 percent. Such data of the poll was presented by the American sociological center Pew Research Center, conducted on March 21-27.

 

In general, 33% of the 72% of the Americans, trusting Zelenskyy, completely trust him, while 39% rather trust him. Not very trusted by 16% and not trusted at all by 10% of Americans surveyed.

 

 

While 17% fully trust US President Joe Biden in matters of international politics, 31% slightly trust him.

 

Trust in the Ukrainian president also exceeds the trust of U.S. citizens in French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz - both 53%.

 

 

 

 

Sociologists have also recorded a record level of American distrust of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Ninety-two percent (92% or one in nine Americans) do not trust the Russian leader. Of these, 77% do not feel any confidence at all in his actions in international politics. However, 6% of those surveyed did say that they trust Putin.

 

Americans also have a low level of trust in Chinese leader Xi Jinping: 83% of respondents do not trust him, while 15% do.

 

American sociologists noted that among Americans with a university degree, trust in Zelenskyy reaches 82%. The elderly are also more inclined to trust Zelenski: among people over 65 the trust in Zelenskyy reaches 86%, while in the group of 18-29 years old - 63%. The voters of the Democratic Party are more inclined to trust Zelenskyy than the Republican Party.
